The Karat Breakdown
- 24K Gold (99.9% Pure) This is gold in its rawest, most expensive form (usually starting at a minimum of $800+ for solid pieces). It has a brilliant, deep orange-gold color, but because it is so soft, it requires extreme care and marks very easily.
- 18K Gold (75% Pure) This is the fine jewelry sweet spot. It retains that rich, unmistakable, deep golden hue of pure gold, but it's blended with just enough alloy to make it beautiful, wearable, and resilient against everyday life.
- 14K Gold (58.3% Pure) Roughly half pure gold and half strengthening metals. It offers the perfect middle ground of luxury, great durability, and value, making it a highly popular choice for daily wear.
- 10K Gold (41.7% Pure) Blended with a higher percentage of other metals, 10K gold is incredibly tough, highly scratch-resistant, and budget-friendly. Because it has less pure gold, its color is a softer, lighter yellow.
