Terre Tara is a love letter to the places and journeys that change us.
Our name belongs to two distinct corners of the earth: Basseterre, the vibrant, sun-drenched Caribbean coastal capital of St. Kitts where my mother grew up, and Taragalte, the historic oasis and gateway to the Moroccan Sahara where my husband grew up. Born and raised in Canada, I traveled to these places and many others to find meaning and experiences; but what I actually found was myself.
I would not be who I am today without visiting these landscapes, learning their cultures, and throwing myself into the raw adventure of the unknown (with a lot of healthy fear!).
For a long time, I lived a life of asking for permission, being overly affected by other people's opinions and negativity, navigating the world through a lens of codependency.
I went from constantly asking, "Should I do this?" or "Do you think this is a bad idea?" to simply moving forward, making bold executive decisions, and telling others only after the work was done.
Through traveling, I learned I could depend on myself without the help of anyone; the fear of not being enough fell away. In its place emerged an unshakeable independence and the radical confidence that I have today.
Traveling not only changed my perspective on life, but changed who I am internally and what I believe I am capable of.

Terre Tara is our subtle pushback against mindless consumerism and throwaway landfill culture. We watch millions of cheap, fake gold coated brass and copper fast-fashion jewelry pieces end up in the trash every year; turning green or orange, breaking and bending, and failing the women who wear them.
Our pieces are crafted using highly recyclable stainless steel, it's a tough, premium metal that can be melted down and recycled infinitely without ever losing its strength.
To give our jewelry its rich, luxurious look, we use a high-tech process called Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). This is the global standard for Waterproof Jewelry. Instead of simply dipping the jewelry in a liquid gold bath that easily cracks and flakes off over time, we use a clean, vacuum-sealed method to vaporize real, genuine gold at an atomic level. This forces the gold to actually bond into the stainless steel, creating a flawless shield that is completely fused together.
Because it is done in a high-tech vacuum chamber, the process is completely zero-emission, eliminating harsh chemicals and hazardous factory runoff entirely. The result is a premium, ultra-durable gold finish engineered to be 100% waterproof.
